Masturbation: Is It Wrong?

Is masturbation a sin?

I’m 17 and I have been doing it for a long time but I don’t know if I’m hurting God. I have stopped from doing it for about 3 weeks now but I fell tempted every day. Is this a sin? How can I control it? Thank you for everything

 Best Regards.

- Daniel

Daniel,

From this platform i will be providing the answer you should hold if you are truly saved and hope in Christ Jesus' next coming for His church.

I will start by congratulating you for opening up as concerns such a topic. Big 'M' and masturbation is shameful and many involved do it in the hiding. You are bringing it to the light. this is a good mark.

PART ONE: ...

I have been doing it for a long time but I don’t know if I’m hurting God.

What is it, masturbation. If all must be with us in what we trying to put straight Daniel, then we come out fully. what can we say about our topic,

Is Masturbation Harmful?

Masturbation is the self-stimulation of the genitals to achieve sexual arousal and pleasure, usually to the point of orgasm (sexual climax). It is commonly done by touching, stroking, or massaging the penis or clitoris until an orgasm is achieved. Some women also use stimulation of the vagina to masturbate or use "sex toys," such as a vibrator.

Who Masturbates?

Just about everybody. Masturbation is a very common behavior, even among people who have a sex partner. In one national study, 95% of males and 89% of females reported that they have masturbated. Masturbation is the first sexual act experienced by most males and females. In young children, masturbation is a normal part of the growing child's exploration of his or her body. Most people continue to masturbate in adulthood, and many do so throughout their lives.

Why Do People Masturbate?

they do so in a way of relieving the sexual tension that  build up over time, especially for people without partners or whose partners are not willing or available for sex.

Is Masturbation Normal?

No, not at all. Masturbation is an abnormal behavior of man seeking sexual satisfaction. All that will not go according to God's set principles constitute the abnormality in humans which is sin before God.

Getting back to our question part 1, we will answer;

                      YES, masturbation hurts God's heart.

The one committed the act of masturbation is usually hidden when he begins his actions on his penis. Most of the things that are done in the hiding are sin. In Fact the Bible puts it clear in   1 John 5:17, that All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death. You see David, sin committed is a proclamation against God. When you sin, you proclaim that God, i am your enemy, i hate you, leave me alone to do my own things. and worst of all, see what apostle outlines to the Corinthian church on the "special" sin of sexual immorality. read this in   1 Corinthians 6:9-20  Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.  And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.  You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”  But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

as seen in verse 18, All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. In so doing you soil yourself. It is not so much an abuse of the body as of somewhat else, as of wine by the drunkard, food by the glutton, etc. Nor does it give the power of the body to another person. Nor does it so much tend to the reproach of the body and render it vile. This sin is in a sence manner styled uncleanness, pollution, because no sin has so much external turpitude in it, especially in a Christian. He sins against his own body; he defiles it, he degrades it, making it one with the body of that vile creature with whom he sins.

Proverbs 6:32-33 sums it up that, He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself. He will get wounds and dishonor, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.

Because masturbation is sexual immorality, it is sin. We will add another big thing here that

...I will read another one: “Our Lord and our God, we

plead in the Almighty ... to me that every sin committed

by any believer is a knife driven into God's heart;

From the book titled; The Centrality Of Prayer

Prof. Zacharias Tanee Fomum

So David, every time masturbation is done, the sin of immorality is committed before God which is a knife plugged deep in to His heart causing pain. You must flee from all that has to do with this sin.  You must flee. Fleeing just as Joseph did before his boss, Potiphar's wife is a good example. You too flee.

Fleeing is a Strategy for Pursuing Sexual Purity

PART 2...

I have stopped from doing it for about 3 weeks now but I fell attempted every day.

David, i want to hold it that you made of the Lord Jesus your personal Lord and Saviour. Hallelujah, i am happy for you. Today you too reading can join David and the millions who are truly saved born again children of God who will enter God's Kingdom. Enter here, to know what to do. You could as well read this.

Your feeling tempted every day to masturbate should not overcome you. Temptations are bound to come our way as children of God, in fact i call them raw materials for our perfection. See what James, the pastor in church of the Jerusalem church in times past  James 1:2-4 (NIV) ... Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. In all seek holiness, flee and resist all such thoughts of the devil and you will enter in to deliverance in fact in chapter 4 verse 7 of this book of James; we are asked to Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

PART 3

                               How can I control it?

I will tell you the following.

1- Ensure that your salvation is genuine. Many who repented of their sins, and prayed to receive Jesus in their heart as their personal Lord and and saviour discovered that their pulling in the world was still so very strong that they find it difficult living the life of salvation.

2-  certain cases you just need to press on in living a sin free life. Life. This creates power in you which will cause any forces bringing evil  and masturbation for example to melt down and disappear.

3- I will mention of the cases where the drive is so strong you are enslaved. you do not masturbate in act but do it very actively in your thoughts and even in your dreams, When we read the book of John 11, Lazarus is brought back to life. He is got life in him but still he is bound. And here i love what the Lord Jesus says' He wants fullness of life in all who come to Him. see His mission in Isaiah 61:1-3. So Lazarus needed to be loosed as requested by Christ Jesus in verse 44 of John 11.

Setting him free even though there was life in him was a needed ministry. Many have come to Jesus David, and are bound. The are held in prisons and need to be set free so that they enjoy their life and their service to their God. You can know total freedom from all captivity of the devil that is limiting you in physical and spiritual life. In my  next editions, i will be tackling to topic, the big and broad topic on:

FINISHING WITH THE PAST MINISTRY

I want to assure you that Lazarus's coming to life and deliverance ministry has it's full place in our communities of today. It is not bound to social class, race, educational standard and the like. It has to do with sin that led to strongholds that has captured and are mastering some aspect of our lives keeping us locked up in "prisons". If Jesus came to set the captives free; And Yes of course He did. I want to assure that you you will be free.

-  that sin that does not want to leave you,

- that disease that does not want to leave you,

- that curse that is directing your life,

- that infirmity that is limiting you so badly,

they will all know their end in Jesus mighty name. believe me, Jesus is alive and will do all these things.

Stay connected to this media. I can assure you there is much, and much in store for you.
